Artist’s Statement

I love the expression of the human face. I love the gesture of the human figure. Emotion in art is important to me; external reality not so much.
I like deep color. I like bright color.

Someone once wrote to me “the energy in your paintings makes me feel the same way that living on this windy peninsula makes me feel – far away yet connected to everything…I love the way I feel when I look at these. As if I am looking deeply into the truth…a quiet sense of connection.”
That is enough.
